About the Provider

Desiree Little was born in Anaheim, California but considers herself a native Arizonian as she has lived here since the age of five. She attended Grand Canyon University for her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and continued her education by obtaining a Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the University of Phoenix. She is Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a novice NP, she trained with the esteemed Dr. Kris Vijay, where she completed an internship, specializing in the management of Heart Failure. She is Board Certified by the American Association of Heart Failure Nurses as a Heart Failure Nurse. Achievements include two publications with the Heart Failure Society of America. First one is titled, “Midodrine as a Bridge to Enable Use of Life Enhancing Therapies in Chronic Heart Failure,” and the second, “INSPIRE-HF Manifesto Reduces Readmissions and Improved Outcomes in Chronic Heart Failure.” She is a co-author in Dr. Kris Vijay’s book, “Invoking Your Inner Therapist in Heart Failure: Untold Patient Stories from Prevention to End Stage,” where she gives the nurses perspective on Heart Failure.

Her mission is to help people live happier, healthier lives by empowering them with the knowledge to make educated health care decisions resulting in a lifestyle that will maintain or improve their well-being. Desiree is a founding member of the CardioRenal Center where they specialize in the management of Heart Failure patients by ensuring guideline directed medical therapy is implemented to improve their quality of life, prevent chronic kidney disease progression, and enhance survival all while reducing their hospital readmissions.

Desiree has two children, Majerle, Jax, and husband Danny whom occupy most of her non-medical time! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and furthering her curiosities of diet and disease processes through research.
